Hold My Ground Mixtape on sale at Access Hip Hop

Hi all!

Though the California trip to promote "The First Draft" has come to an end, doesn't mean it's time to let up.

Few things:

The "Children of the Sun (Remix)" video is currently being shot, so watch out as we're prepping it for YouTube, and many, many other channels. If you'd like to be a part of it, don't hesitate to contact me. I'll have a spot for you, no doubt.

Also, while we were in San Diego, we had a little in-store meet & greet (should have been an eat & greet, haha) / performance @ Access Hip-Hop (aka, heaven) in San Diego, right next to Cros 1's "The Armory". It was a really good time and I met and re-met a bunch of cool people. But, more importantly, they'll be selling the last few copies of my "Hold My Ground, mixtape"! They're available at the store in San Diego, but you can also order online at http://www.accesshiphop.com/store/?itemid=16657. So make sure to pick them up!

And last but not least, I'm continuing work on my debut album, which features production from J Chen, Incise, me, and other people (surprise), both famous and up-and-coming. It's sounding good so far! I hope I don't screw it up somehow, haha.

Ok all, take care. Here's the show schedule:

-Dec 5th - Five Points Big Show, Silk Road Cafe
-Dec 14th - Kevin Nadal's One Man Show "Dirty Thirty" ft. Hydroponikz &
Michelle "Mochi" Camaya (Finalist on Bravo's Step it up and Dance).

I'll return soon.
Ryan.

First Major Release!!! ..kinda.

So a good friend of mine, Incise (responsible for Grind, My America, Strife, many many tracks of mine) will release his first album tomorrow, Sept 3rd, on Goontrax.jp. You definitely can't miss it. If you haven't heard Incise's beats yet, you are in for a treat. This guy can rock everything from that 90s golden age soulful hip-hop, to some real bangers, to even house and complex instrumental compositions.

Some of the artists on the album include: The 49ers, Need Not Worry, The Stereotypes, Anika, and yours truly, Hydroponikz. If you hit up the AM Classics show, then you heard our track "Strife".

Make sure you support. Here are a few links:

US: Amazon iTunes(soon)
Overseas: HMV Tower Records Other Vendors

Thanks all!!

Thanks Kina!

So, the wonderful, talented, beautiful Kina Grannis has been nice enough to share her wisdom and teach us how to play "Strong Enough". I'm not any good at it, but I'll get it soon, I promise. Also, she's featured me in her new "featured videos" portion of her blog. So thanks so much for that! Totally made my week.

And for those who don't know who she is, go check her out. She won Doritos' "Crash the Superbowl" contest and was featured during the 2008 Superbowl commercials. Now you KNOW that's a big deal. She's one of the most talented, humble, down-to-earth souls out there. Guitar is fresh, vocals are amazing. She makes your favorite song sound better. She makes her song your new favorite song. Go peep the bla(h)g every Monday her for new videos! www.kinagrannis.com/blog

(facebook heads, click "view original post" to see this video).

I'll be gone now. Peace!

Thanks Mike!

10 years ago, June 14, 1998: Jordan's 'last shot' wearing black and red. He made that sick game-winning goal after swatting the ball from Jazz possession as the clock ticked towards the game's end. Greatest moment in the NBA, without a doubt. It feels really good to be 23 =)

Hmm. Wonder if anyone will ever read this...

..but I've decided it doesn't matter. I'll still manage to put something down possibly every day. Maybe every two days? I haven't decided yet.

Happy Birthday to all my Geminis! I've been to many celebrations these past couple of weeks... and we really know how to rock it.

And a huge thank you to those who have been coming to the shows. I only do this for you!

So what's on the plate right now?
- Recording a demo of my first album.
- A new music video to be shot in early July.
- June 10th, "Jammin Asian" at Laugh Lounge.
- June 21st, "Words" at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe.
- Quite possibly a west coast appearance in July.
- Beat GTA4 before MGS4 comes out.

OK, I'm out of here. I need to figure out a way to make this blog a little more interesting. That time will come soon. Peace!

ryan.
